On March 28, 2013 at the French University of Armenia a lecture was held by Mushegh Manukyan, PhD, ADR Partners General Director and mediator, lecturer of American University of Armenia and Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, and by Aida Avanessian, PhD, ADR Partners arbitrator and mediator.

The lecture was dedicated to the alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation, arbitration, as well as the legal and practical problems of alternative dispute resolution. During the lecture, students demonstrated active participation by expressing their opinions on these institutions and asking questions to the experts.

Ms. Avanessian presented the international arbitration experience on a variety of topics and issues, including the problem of denationalization of arbitration, which has become a practical topic in arbitration practice throughout recent years.

During his lecture Mr. Manukyan also discussed issues of mediation in Armenia, possible ways of its development, as well as students were given an opportunity to express their proposals on the development of the named institutes in Armenia. The lecture participants actively took part in practical exercises, mediation role-play, where the participants acted in the roles of the disputing parties and a mediator.
