Mushegh Manukyan, PhD

Recognized as one of the leading Armenian specialists in the sphere of private international law. He is author of more than 25 articles published in Armenia, Russia and Italy. Dr. Manukyan has also published a book entitled “Private international law and Transnational corporations: legal liability issues” and monograph entitled “Private international law of Armenia: scientific and practical commentaries of the 12th section of the RA Civil Code”.

 

Dr. Manukyan graduated from Harvard Law School, Yerevan State University and continued post-graduate studies at the Russian State Social University (Moscow), where he defended his PhD dissertation on the topic “Legal status of transnational corporations in private international law doctrine”. He has taught private international law at the Russian State Social University more than 2 years. In 2008 Dr. Manukyan was a UNIDROIT research scholar at the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT, Rome). He was a fellow of The Hague Academy of International law, Dallas Bar Association, International Bar Association, International Labor Organization and more recently a Weinstein fellow with JAMS. He has taken post-graduate 6-month courses on mergers & acquisitions and international arbitration at the Colleges of England and Wales. Dr. Manukyan has participated in more than 15 international courses in various states, delivered speeches at conferences and various legal forums.

 

Dr. Manukyan is a licensed attorney. Previously he worked for VivaCell-MTS as a leading lawyer/head of formalities legal section, MobiDram CJSC as a chief lawyer. He also worked for National Instruments as the regional contract manager for Emerging Markets and regional legal counsel for IndRA Region (India, Russia and CIS, Arabia). He taught private international law and alternative dispute resolution at the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and American University of Armenia, where he also served as a director of RAU and AUA Mediation and Arbitration clinics. Dr. Manukyan is the founder and general director of ADR Partners.

Aida Avanessian, PhD
Dr. Aida Avanessian joined ADR Partners in March 2013 as an arbitrator and mediator. She is the author of several articles and publications published in legal periodicals, as well as papers presented in conferences on different aspects of Iranian law, making of contracts, special charachteristices of different types of project contracts, project financing, arbitration in inconstruction contracts and denationalization of arbitration.  Dr. Avanessian has also published a book entiteld “Iran-United States Claims Tribunal in Action (seven years of arbitration)” and did final editing of “Making of Contracts under English, French, Iranian and Islamic Law”, both published in London, England.

Immediately upon graduation on 1972, Dr. Avanessian has started work at the Legal Department of Central Bank of Iran whereafter she has joined Owsia Law Offices, first as an associate and then partner and later as partner in the law firm of Torossian, Avanessian & Associates. Since 1996 she has, for more than 10 years, worked in the United Kingdom as off-counsel to several UK major law firms and continues to provide legal advice to said law firms on specific matters of her fields of speciality and experience. 

Dr. Aida Avanessian graduated from University of Tehran, Faculty of Laws and Political Sciences with LLB and LLM degrees in private international law. She continued her post-graduate studies at Kings Collage, University of London in conflict of laws, where she defended her PhD dissertation on arbitration-jurisdictional matters.

Adelaida Baghdasaryan

Mrs. Adelaida Baghdasaryan joined ADR Partners in June 2015 as a mediator. Mrs. Baghdasaryan graduated from Yerevan State University in 1996, after which she got her master degrees from the American University of Armenia in 2006 as a Master of Comparative Legal Studies and from Harvard University Law School in 2015 as a Master of Laws.

 

Mrs. Baghdasaryan passed professional trainings in a number of fields, such as Corporate Boards and Governance, Sustainable Urban Development, Monitoring of Grants and Cooperative Agreements, Ethics in Grants Management, International Humanitarian Law, etc.

 

Previously she worked for the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan as a Political Program Assistant at the Political-Economic Section and reported on issues related to political and economic developments, foreign assistance, governance, corruption; coordinated and provided legal support for all U.S. Government (USG) funded programs in Armenia; resolved U.S. Assistance Program Implementing Partners’ and Agencies’ problems related to taxes and customs in collaboration with the Armenian State Revenue Committee and Justice Sector; served as Embassy’s Primary Point of Contact for Assistance Programs.

Artur Sargsyan, PhD

Recognized as one of the leading Armenian specialists in the field of labor and employment law. He is the author of more than 10 scientific articles and publications. He participated in the development of the Labor Code of RA and a number of laws in this area and has made a significant contribution in the field of labor law reform. Currently works on the program of reforming the Labor Code. Dr. Sargsyan has been a reporter at various national and international platforms on the problems of labor law and employment.


Mr. Sargsyan is a candidate of economic sciences. In 2007 he graduated from the European University of labor law (France, Germany). Since 2002 Dr. Sargsyan has been teaching labor and social law in the "Business and management" department of the Economic faculty of Yerevan State University, and in 2007 also at the law faculty of the State Academy of Management. Since 2004 Dr. Sargsyan is the head of "Management of public resources" chair of the State Institute of the Staff Development and Training in the direction of informatics.


In 1992-1994 Dr. Sargsyan was the Director of the Occupation center of Yerevan. In 1996, he founded the weekly newspaper "Man and Labor", where he was also the chief editor. At the time «Man and Labor» was the only publication, which dealt with labor issues and their regulation.

Armen Sargsyan

Armen Sargsyan joined ADR Partners in September 2015 as  mediator.  From 2002-2007 Mr. Sargsyan stadied at Armenian State University of Economics, Faculty of Management.  From 2012 he  is continuing his studies at American University of Armenia, in the Industrial Engineering and Systems Management master program. From 2015 he is also a PhD student at the Yerevan State Univerity- Faculty of Management.

 

In 2006 he participated in  United Nations “International Labour Standards and Employment Equity based on gender distribution” program in Turin, Italy.

 

From 2005 to the present he is working at Gortsq company as a General Director and lecturer. From 2010 to the present he is working at  Master Style Educational Center as a chief accountant and lecturer, where he conducts business, tax and labor legislation lectures  as well as  lectures on the application of accounting personnel.
